HS-RAM – Gamma portal for personnel monitoring

Description
HS-RAM-Helgeson

Completely autonomous equipment

The HS-RAM monitors are completely autonomous equipment designed for the detection and measurement of gamma radiation on exposed workers.

They are designed to perform high speed measurements, allowing fast counting of a high volume of nuclear power plant workers. With different versions that customize the number of detectors, size, barriers, etc. the HS-RAM is without doubts the most flexible gamma portal for fast screening of personnel.

  • Up to 8 plastic scintillator detectors of 50x50x5 cm/each
  • with additional detection systems like NaI, CZT, beta detectors, etc.
  • Typical efficiency per detector >28% (Co-60), >12% (Cs-137), >5% (Ba-133)
  • 220 VAC, 60 Hz or 110 VAC 50 Hz
  • Up to 10 cm thickness of steel or lead
  • 1 or 2 10” touch screen for information and equipment control
  • 3 operation modes (“free-way/in-motion”, “stop and measurement”, “stop and double measurement”)
  • Automatic dynamic measurement time calculation
  • Sensors for person detection
  • Two ways of operation (in/out – out/in)
  • Automatic barrier system
  • Audible and visual alarms
  • Automatic registration of all event, backgrounds, measurements, alarms, operation failures, etc.
  • Digital adjustment of the detectors (no any mechanical intervention is required)
  • Industrial PC with the latest OS Windows version
  • Calibration, verification and configuration modules
  • Software HS-RAD, that can be customized in any language
  • Voice module for customized voice messages
  • Remote operation can be included (TCP/IP)
  • USB connection for downloading all the data to an external device
  • Detection Limit calculation according to ISO 11929
